“First’s” are always exciting - first day of school, first day of a new job, first dates (exciting, until you realize your date is a little crazy :). Today is my first day on an embarkment to a journey to redefine myself. The goal is shed my weight and improve my mental health, while building confidence. I have to be honest though, waking up at 6:30 AM sucks, but it’ll get better. The average number of days to establish a habit is 66 days so I have a long way to go. But, here are 4 keys I’m adopting to get off to a fast start:

4 Keys For a Successful Start:

  1. Write it down - write down your meals, workouts, and things to accomplish for the day

  2. Drink lots of water - stay hydrated to help keep your belly full.

  3. Get sleep - get at least 7-8 hours of sleep

  4. Establish routine - establish a routine that fits your schedule and needs. For me, it is waking up early, heading to the gym, eating breakfast, then going to work.
