Do you know the odds of being alive? It is approximately 1 in 102,685,000 according to Dr. Ali Binazir, in a publication distributed by Huffington Post. The odds of being born are less than the total number of atoms in the known universe! Yes, it is clear the ‘opportunity’ of born is complete chance and luck. But, once we are born, we have an incredible opportunity to create our future - we are essentially playing with house money. We can dictate what we want our lives to be through the choices we make. Each choice we make matters. I’ve made some dumb choices the last several years - choosing to eat like a slob and laying on the couch watching Netflix or the latest stupid reality show. I chose to be overweight and mentally feel like crap. Here are some of the simple steps I am starting to do to take full advantage of my new found opportunity:
Daily exercise (mental and/or physical)
Cutting out processed sugar (for at least 1 month)
Challenge myself to go out of my comfort zone (date, paddle board, read new books, start this blog)
